Mappin Monday- Barcelona

Barcelona es una ciudad preciosa... (Barcelona is a Beautiful city!) Coming in this week for Mappin Monday is the FABULOUS city of Barcelona, Spain. We have been to many places, but the city of Barcelona was truly something special.

First of all, Barcelona was one of the most walkable cities we had ever seen. And there were so many parks! It seemed like every few blocks, there was another park with people filling it the entire day. We saw yoga classes and dogs and elderly people playing games and basketball courts and beautiful flowers... Just a vibe of embracing life and greenery and though things were sometimes bustling, life is for slowing down a little too.

We of course walked to the casino at the beach, but for once didn't enter. There was a walkway along the beach that overlooked the Mediterranean where we ate some of the most delicious outdoor dining we had ever experienced.

And the architecture! Awe inspiring, especially, of course, La Sagrada Familia. IT was not quote finished when we were there, but it was the most beautiful Cathedral in all of Spain. Each side told a different story of a different era. We will be returning to see it again now that it is finally finished after 160 years!

The street art was Truly, and I mean breathtakingly beautiful.
